Bruce Markow: Music

Isn't it strange?

(© Bruce Markow)

I live in old Saint Louie and my name is Louie, too. I learned my lessons in my Ď68 Ford. Itís a real humdinger and goes where I want to.

Each day I get to heaven, though sometimes I feel so blue. When Iím dragginí I sit right down and say to my maker as I say now to you:

Isnít it strange?
No doubt!
Isnít it love that lifeís about?

My best friendís name is Lucy and she lives so close to my heart. All Iím given I give to her. The love thatís arisen just goes where it wants to.

Autumns we go driviní all across Missouri. In the cover of darkness we sneak in each yard, plant some tulips and giggle Ďtil they pop through.

Isnít it strange?
No doubt!
Isnít it love that lifeís about?

Evírybodyís hustling to make a little scene. Evírybodyís muscling to get well in. What does it take to open your heart and give it away?...

So when youíre in Saint Louie, Lucy and I want to see you. The doorís always open. Youíre welcome here. Weíll go for a spin and sing you a song of love.

Isnít it strange?
No doubt!
Isnít it love that lifeís about?
