Hi Bruce
I came across your calender today and thought - I really have to say hello! Believe it or not, I have'nt been in NYC in a long time. I did breeze in for a few short stints in recording studio and that's it. Life is okay in Fredonia. It might be better in some other warmer or sunnier places. I hope this doesn't get me on a copious e-mailing list. I just wanted to say hi and hope all well with you. Kay

Referring back to the March 4 entry from Mitch: He is an old friend and together in 2000 we started making a documentary film called "Soy Andina" that chronicles the adventures of two New York women of Peruvian heritage who explore their identity over two continents. It's almost done, and it's going to be absolutely brilliant. It's attracting a lot of buzz in film, music, dance, folklore, psychology, sociology, latino, travel, immigrant and other circles. See why for yourself, at http://www.soyandina.com/ - Mitch's fun and informative website.
I had a great time traveling in Peru, shooting there and in the States, co-directing the early trailers and embedding into Andean culture with the film's protagonists. Now I'm taking on more of a consulting role as associate producer, confident in Mitch's very capable hands. Do check it out!

Great to hear from you, Annie. Looking forward to seeing you and Tim soon. Want to live wildly and come to New York THIS weekend for the Mango Festival? Love to you, in the meantime.
To Annie and everyone else: The audio that Annie refers to is a brand new excerpt on a site for the music industry. I just moved that clip onto http://www.brucemarkow.com/music.html - on the "Music" page. Look under the song "Prayer for Peace (1 Love)." I hope you like it. It will appear as a CD single, probably coupled with "Let's Be Honest." And there will be more as soon as possible. Making music is the best...

How delightful to see this website up and running. it is beautiful! I went to the other site to hear the audio excerpt and it was so sweet to hear you sing — it has been too long since I have heard you. I can't wait for the CD.
Tim and I are still planning to come in April 30 to May 3 and hope to see you.
Happy mango dreams.
Love,
Annie

Bruce Markow and I have known each other for over thirty years. I've actually know him for about twenty minutes longer than he has known me, but that's another story. When I met him he had a guitar in his arms, a lyric in his mind and a song in his heart. Bruce is an artist, a craftsman, and a mentor of the first order.
